Welcome to Franko's Universe
Back in 1959, when I was in 6th grade, I made a report for Science on how the coastlines
on the four continents of Europe, Africa, North and South Americas, seemed to match in a
big figure S. I postulated that they had once been joined. This was high heresy, as Alred
Wagner's theories for continental drift were not in the vogue as of yet. I was chastised
severely as a dreamer, and alackadaisical fool
. At the time it seemed that every new theory or idea I came up with was foolish.
Main-line science 'knew' everything or had a theory about it or weren't interested in
hearing about it. Teachers always have to be so 'Politically
Correct' , but that comes with the territory. But
sometimes I wonder how much they really knew about some my wild, < off-the-wall ideas > .
After I 'grew-up', I was still quite interested in The Sciences. I loved The Earth
Sciences, as well as Paleontology and Astronomy. I've read Einstein's Theories but don't
agree. I've read Darwin and think he's close, but no cigar. I never had the formal
education in the sciences that I would have liked, and ended up a machinist, working in a
small prototype shop, doing work for the 'Star Wars' and other Black Projects. It was
fascinating to say the least, but now I'm disabled. I have, in my youth, studied Asian
Martial Arts and have been Enlightened .
What all this means is that I am not a professional, and as such, not 'Politically
Correct', and will entertain unconventional theories. Because I believe that the pipe
dream of today, may be the reality of tomorrow.
Well enough of the past. In this web site I will present some interesting and strange science. We will follow-up on some of the
strange and bizarre events that are covered in the evening news with links and commentary.
And we'll rehash some old ideas with a 21st century view. |
