The Kruse family of California began when Louie and Annie Kruse
along with Louie's brother Christian, emigrated from Baku on the
Caspian Sea in 1900. After arriving, they traveled first to Indiana, where the brothers split up. Louie then moved to Colorado where Henry was born. The family moved then to Wisconsin where Marie was born. Following work around the country, they moved back to Colorado where Anne was born. Then in 1923 they finally settled in San Diego where they founded a blacksmith shop, at what is now the fire station, in Bay Park region of San Diego Ca.
