Rafting on the Yellowstone River
Rock formations off I 90 between Bozeman and Butte Montana

You know what they say about the mountains? If you don't like the weather just wait a minute. The weather continued to change from clear, to hazy, to rain and back. One thing that was constant, was the road construction . The images above were taken during a 30 minute delay on highway 90 west of Bozeman Montana. I had never seen so many  trains in one place (west of Bozeman) since I was last at the San Diego Miniature Railroad Museum in Balboa Park.

Historical Rest-Stop
Montana
The mountains are full of history. Everywhere you stop there are signs, like the ones shown here, that give historical accounts of the area. I think that this area may be worth an entire trip. The scenery is 'big sky' in nature. The air is so clear that you can see clearly for miles. Next we'll enter the great prairie and plains.
