The Parade Ground
We made a stop at Fort Lincoln, just southwest of Bismarck North Dakota. The original fort was dismantled, after it's closing, by residence of Bismarck to build the town. The National Park Service is slowly, as budget allows, rebuilding the Fort to it's original state in 1875. What you will find below are mostly shots of the interior of the 'Custer House' and of the Mandan Village.

We took the tour of the Custer House given by a local girl named Jennifer. She was dressed in character and conducted the tour as if it were really 1875 and Colonel 'General' Custer was not at home.

The Fort is only partially complete at the time of our visit in August 2000.
I would like to see it again in 10 years.
